It’s hard to take time off right now, with very limited/nonexistent travel options. That said, it’s more critical than ever to take your vacation days and let your mind relax. Software engineering is a mentally taxing discipline, and until you’ve taken a break, it’s hard to realize the effects of this knowledge work on your overall health. Take a few days off, and you’ll return fresher and hopefully more motivated to keep grinding away at the challenging problems your team is solving. You might even think up some great ideas you hadn’t considered when deep in the weeds while on vacation, so take a break! #bendevtip
