Especially with so many tech company stocks down a significant amount this year, there is fear amongst software engineers that we've hit our compensation highs, and it's only downhill from here. " "" "I don't believe that. Of course, we're in a trough, but that's expected in the cyclical world of economics. I think of my finances (and savings) like a snowball. I want that snowball to continuously grow and gain momentum as I get older. In some ways, that's just how compound interest works!
