As I was listening the past few days, I also started thinking about all the books I've been listening to the past year and figured I should highlight my top 3 from the year:" "" "1. Superintelligence, by Nick Bostrom -- a very interesting take on how AI can work with us, not against us, that I read early in the year." "" "2. Superforecasting, by Philip Tetlock and Dan Gardner -- a fantastic story and guide to making predictions with the highest levels of accuracy, with a core premise being that team diversity matters greatly!" "" "3. Stolen Focus, by Johann Hari -- a deep analysis of how the apps and services many of us use a lot are designed to retain our attention, something we probably should be fighting back against." "" "A final interesting trend I spotted in my reading data was that I read 6 fewer books in 2022 versus 2021 but have started listening to more podcasts. Since I do all this listening while walking my dog Mango, there's a fixed budget of time; guess I listened to ~6 books worth of podcasts in 2022 too! #bendevtip
