"" "Today I want to talk about my quick exploration over the weekend into using AI generation for a company logo. I've heard a lot of chatter about Midjourney (https://lnkd.in/ey4d2j9a), an image generation system leveraging large language models (among other machine learning techniques). Instead of buying a logo from a designer, I could prompt my way to a great company logo, right?" "" "Wrong! At least for now, the output is just not customizable to where I wanted it. While some of the designs looked pretty cool to me, I was utterly incapable of getting any logo lettering correct, nor did I have the Photoshop skills to insert the right letters myself. After 30+ attempts, you can see my top 3 and how the lettering is all over the place." "" "Regardless, it's still too early for me to settle on a logo, so I tabled the idea for now, but my key learning was that perhaps I'd be able to use Midjourney as inspiration for the creative I'll end up hiring to make my logo. Or possibly Midjourney (and technologies like it) will advance quickly enough for me to use their refined versions to create my logo in the coming months. Guess we'll see! #ndricks
