The ndricks Software plugin for ChatGPT is quite simple — but surprisingly powerful.

Instead of the usual “My data is only current up until September 2021” response, this plugin intercepts sports-related prompts and fetches real-time insights using the ndricks Software API.

🧠 How It Works

While chatting with ChatGPT, just mention any NBA, NFL, NHL, or MLB team and the plugin will:

  1. Detect the team name
  2. Query the ndricks API in the background
  3. Serve back up-to-date sentiment-based insights instead of static, outdated answers

🗣 Example Prompts:

  • "What's going on with the Golden State Warriors?"
  • "How are the Orioles doing?"
  • "How are Boston teams doing?"

That last one will try to fetch info for all major Boston teams — but it’s a bit hit-or-miss right now compared to targeting one specific team.

🧭 Flexible Input Parsing

You don’t even need the full team name. The plugin can handle:

  • “Warriors”
  • “Golden State”
  • “Bay Area NBA team”

All will trigger the correct lookup — no need for exact phrasing.
